This is a small kitchen we did last week in Westland, the homeowner wanted to create a 50s look and feel to his space. There was two layers of vinyl flooring already down and this was removed and then new 3/8" sanded plywood was installed and screwed down to the existing subfloor.
On top of the plywood we installed Schluter Ditra uncoupling membrane with Laticretes 253 Gold thinset, and this was let sit over night.
The tile is Crossvilles Powdered Sugar 12x12 and Crossvilles Black Lagoon 6x6 and is installed in a diagonal hopscotch pattern and the grout will be Laticretes Permacolour "Raven".
